Both by Ring #14 - Investing massively to transform our economy and bring solutions to social and environmental issues.

Dear community,
The past weeks has been of great excitement here in Paris with the SISTA Summit, VivaTech and the announcement made by Emmanuel Macron of a new round of massive investment in technology and startups.
Indeed, 7 billion euros will be invested through Tibi2, allowing the biggest institutional investors to support VC and PE funds and to accelerate their investments in innovation. Interesting discussions have followed this announcement with people asking themselves the finality of such innovation. We can quote one sentence pronounced in VivaTech during the panel gathering Maya Noël (France Digitale), Jenny Fielding (Everywhere Ventures) , JP (Joonpyo) Lee (Softbank) and Ilya Strebulaev (Standford): “We need to focus on the companies’ mission and on the positive impact it can have on people and on the planet, rather than boosting valuations or feeding individual egos.”
And to do so, we also need to rethink the way innovation and technology is considered, maybe in a much more inclusive way. Interesting talk below with Chloé Hermary about the way to transform the digital model into an inclusive one.
This is what BOTH is about: showing how people, companies, investors and institutions can act and play their part in this transition.
The interview
‘We are actively challenging biases associated with the digital realm. The narrative that coding is exclusively a masculine domain emerged predominantly in the 1980s.’

What prompted you to start Ada Tech School?
The idea of Ada Tech School came to me in 2018, inspired by my academic journey in business school and my immersion in the world of impact entrepreneurship. I felt that it was a waste - both economically and socially - to witness individuals stuck in jobs that didn't fulfil them. This spurred my first entrepreneurial project, focusing on career guidance for young people. Through this journey, I realised that the real challenge lies within the educational system itself: the learning methods, the skills being acquired, and the learning environment being created. This led to the inception of Ada Tech School in 2019, with a mission to bridge the gap between the new generation’s work values, their unique way of learning and the evolving job market.
